Lincoln School Subjects

Math-
Kindergarten-  We learn our numbers and learn how to write the numbers.
We also learned how to count to 100.

First Grade-  We learn about how to count money. We also we learn how to
add and subtract.

Second Grade-  We learned how to add and subtract big numbers.  As well
as
we did a little bit of riddles and number stories. 

Third Grade-  We learned multiplication and division.

Fourth Grade-  We reviewed multiplying, dividing, adding, and
subtracting.  We also learned the landmarks, perimeter, and area.

Fifth Grade-  We learned decimals, ratios, algebra, and percents.

Reading-
Kindergarten-  We learned our ABC's and the sounds.

First Grade-  We learned how to read!

Second Grade-  We did spelling tests and read more.

Third Grade-  We read, did spelling, started literature circles, and started challenge spelling

Fourth Grade-  We did everything that we did that we did in Third grade.

Fifth Grade-  We did the same things as Third Grade and in Fourth Grade.


Social Studies-

First Grade-  We learn about our community, (Oak Park).

Second Grade-  We learn about Democracy (Government).

Third Grade-  We learn about Chicago and Pioneers.

Fourth Grade- We learn about the U.S. and also we have state reports
(they count for 1/2 of our grade).

Fifth Grade-  We learn about Native Americans (we do reports on them),
and we get really detailed in the Government.


Science-

First Grade- We learn about solids, liquids and gases.

Second Grade- We learn about density & clouds.

Third Grade-  We learn about simple machines.

Fourth Grade- We learn about plants, animals, and rocks & minerals.

Fifth Grade- We learn about Shipwrecks and the Human Body.
